Nocturna

Context

Nocturna is a single-product ecommerce brand selling Rest Complex, a dietary supplement focused on better rest.

The project called for a complete Shopify storefront that could feel specific to the brand while still being practical to manage.

Challenge

The storefront needed a tailored shopping experience while remaining practical for the merchant to operate.

Major content areas had to remain editable without code, and the implementation needed to avoid unnecessary third-party storefront apps.

Approach

I used Shopify's Horizon foundation as the base, then developed the major storefront sections around the brand's content and commerce needs.

Mobile behavior, theme-editor flexibility and performance were treated as requirements from the beginning.

Solution

• Developed the complete storefront and all major sections.
• Made content and layout controls available through Shopify’s theme editor.
• Kept routine merchant updates independent from code changes.
• Implemented the required storefront experience without unnecessary third-party storefront apps.
• Designed and developed the experience mobile-first.

The information hierarchy supports a clear product story and a direct path to purchase.

The mobile composition keeps the core content and purchase journey easy to follow on smaller screens.

Engineering

Custom sections provide the tailored experience while Shopify settings and blocks preserve editor control.

Avoiding unnecessary storefront apps keeps the experience lean and reduces recurring app dependency.
